Set against the backdrop of Xun Pu Fishing Village in QuaZhou spanning the 1980s to 2015, Wind over Xun Pu centers on Li ZongYang’s childhood separation and homecoming as an adult, depicting a life journey of loss and remembrance. Rooted in poetic tragedy, the work employs imagery such as fishing nets, sea breezes, and small waves to portray the impermanence of life and the coexistence of joy and sorrow. It achieves emotional reconciliation amid nostalgia and loneliness, gently making peace with the past beneath the evening breeze and the vast ocean.
